believe it or not. If you had told the truth and acted cool with them, you'd probably have a better chance of them leaving you and your property alone. When they know you're lying to them, they immediately don't give two shits about you or your property.
Either way, they'll most likely tell friends about what they saw. You gotta be more scared about who finds out rather than who knows now. I know its not comforting to be confronted by people like that, but you can't do anything about it. Lock everything up and hope for the best.
